Sam’s Cottage
Sam’s Cottage, once Hannah’s Town, is a rare late 18th-century Irish Clachan of attached cottages, byres, and outbuildings. Recognized as Protected Structures, it includes a cruck-frame cottage with timbers over 5,000 years old. Meticulously restored by its current owners, the structures were unified into a single home while preserving their historic charm. The exterior retains its original character, blending heritage with modern living. Sam’s Cottage stands as a remarkable example of conserving history for future generations.
