The Studio

This 40ft shipping container studio was designed to complement the nearby Grand Designs Grillagh Water House while making its own bold architectural statement. The design merges contemporary and traditional elements, reimagining Irish vernacular architecture. Classic corrugated tin, accented with gold powder coating, blends seamlessly with the rural landscape.

Expansive picture windows at both ends create a linear view, maximizing natural light and space. Discreet ventilation windows enhance airflow while maintaining a sleek exterior. A dramatic overhang optimizes the studio’s function and aesthetics. Inside, warm birch ply walls and a resin concrete floor create a refined yet inviting workspace.
